DRY JANUARY: BLUEBERRY LAVENDER BUBBLY
Written by Just Water
Let’s be honest: your pre-bedtime stress-ease tea is doing its best, but sometimes it lacks a certain pizzazz. If you’ve ever wanted to drink something that tastes the way a high-end spa day makes you feel—minus the wallet-emptying bill—this Blueberry Lavender Bubbly is your new "i've had A DAY" drink. It’s floral, fruity, and sophisticated, leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed all at once.
This lavender-based mocktail is a heavy hitter for reducing stress and promoting relaxation thanks to the floral star of the sip, while the blueberries bring a punch of antioxidants to help you stay zen from the inside out. Whether you’re decompressing after a chaotic Monday or just pretending your living room is a five-star retreat, this bubbly number is the ultimate edible exhale.
For the Blueberry Lavender Bubbly...
What You’ll Need:
- 1 to 2 pumps lavender syrup (see recipe below or use store-bought)
- Handful of fresh blueberries
- 12oz Huckleblueberry Bubbles
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Crushed ice
- Fresh lavender sprigs (optional garnish)
What You’ll Do:
- Muddle: In a glass, muddle together the lavender syrup and blueberries until the berries are smashed and the flavors are well combined.
- Pour: Pour the Huckleblueberry Bubbles over the mixture and add lemon juice to taste.
- Chill: Add ice, then stir to combine (or leave as is for a fun "gradient" look and variation in flavor).
- Garnish: Top with fresh lavender if you’re feeling extra fancy.
For the lavender syrup...
What You’ll Need
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp dried culinary lavender buds
What You’ll Do
- Simmer: Combine water, sugar, and lavender in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Steep: Cover and remove from heat. Let it steep for at least 20 minutes to let those botanical notes really shine.
- Strain: Strain out the lavender buds and pour the syrup into a clean glass jar.
