What You'll Need...
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Lemon Bubbles
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- Zest of 1 lemon
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
What You'll Do...
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and poppy seeds. In another bowl, mix the milk, Lemon Bubbles, vegetable oil, eggs, and lemon zest.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined (don’t overmix! We want fluffy waffles, not a dense brick!).
- Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy. Repeat with the remaining batter.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
