3 SUMMER-INSPIRED LEMON MOCKTAILS
Written by Just Water
We took that fizzy, zesty goodness of our Lemon Bubbles and built three mocktails around it. No syrupy mixers, no 47-ingredient shopping list, no regrets in the morning (because mocktails, so obviously no regrets in the morning). Just bright, refreshing drinks that taste like you tried way harder than you did.
Here's to summer, sunshine, and drinks that don't require a hangover disclaimer.
1. The Lemon Basil Spritz
This one's for the person who wants their drink to look like it belongs on a rooftop bar in Positano, but is actually standing barefoot in their kitchen.
What you need:
- 1 can Lemon Bubbles
- 4–5 fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 oz simple syrup (optional, for the sweet tooths)
- Ice
- Lemon wheel, for garnish
What you'll do: Muddle the basil leaves gently in the bottom of a glass, just enough to release the oils, not so much you're relitigating your pesto-making days. Add ice, pour in the simple syrup if you're using it, then top with Lemon Bubbles. Give it one lazy stir (nobody's judging how much effort you put in), garnish with a lemon wheel and a basil leaf, and pretend you read about this in a fancy travel magazine.
2. The Cucumber Lemon Cooler
Crisp meets crisp. This drink is basically what would happen if a spa day and a lemonade stand had a baby.
What you need:
- 1 can Lemon Bubbles
- 3–4 thin cucumber slices, plus more for garnish
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- A small handful of mint leaves
- Ice
What you'll do: Muddle the cucumber slices and mint together at the bottom of a glass until things start smelling like a farmer's market in the best way. Squeeze in the lime juice, fill the glass with ice, and pour in the Lemon Bubbles. Stir once, top with an extra cucumber ribbon because presentation matters, and sip it somewhere with decent shade.
3. The Lemon Ginger Fizz
For when you want your drink to have a little bite. The kind of bite that says "I'm relaxing" and "I mean business" at the same time.
What you need:
- 1 can Lemon Bubbles
- 1/2 oz fresh ginger juice (or 3–4 thin slices of fresh ginger)
- 1 tsp honey
- Ice
- Candied ginger or lemon peel, for garnish
What you'll do: If using ginger slices instead of juice, muddle them at the bottom of your glass first to coax out the spice. Stir the honey into a splash of warm water so it actually dissolves instead of just sinking to the bottom like a lazy ice cube. Add ice, pour in the ginger mixture, then top with Lemon Bubbles. Garnish with candied ginger or a curl of lemon peel and enjoy the fact that you just made something that tastes like it costs $14 at a beach bar.
Final Word
Summer drinks don't need to be complicated to feel special. They just need good bubbles and a little bit of citrus confidence. Lemon Bubbles brings the fizz and the flavor; you bring the muddler and the mildly theatrical garnish game. Everybody wins, nobody's hungover, and your fridge officially has main character energy this season.
Grab a case of Lemon Bubbles and get shaking (or, more accurately, gently stirring).
